• IP address

• Date and time of the inquiry

• Information about the time zone your browser uses

• Address of the requested page (URL)

• The respectively transmitted amount of data

• Operating system

• Name, language and version of the browser software

We generally use these data only where this is required to provide a functioning website and to show our contents and services.

The legal basis for the processing of these data is our legitimate interest in accordance with Article 6 para. 1(f) GDPR.

Data will be deleted once they are no longer needed for the above-mentioned purposes within the scope of the legal basis upon which they were retained, normally when the browser session is exited but at the latest within one month.

b. Cookies

We use cookies on this website. Cookies are small text files or comparable storage technologies which are stored by your browser on your terminal device and allow your browser to be recognized.

We use "session" cookies (temporary or transient cookies) and "persistent" cookies.

Session cookies are only stored during your usage of our websites. These cookies are needed for transactions (such as logging into a user account) and are valid in each case until the end of the browser session. This means that, depending on your browser’s type and settings, the cookies are automatically removed after the end of the session or after the tab or browser is exited unless you have configured your browser settings differently. The session cookies we use contain only a session ID.

Persistent cookies are stored for future sessions on your computer to recognize visitors returning to the websites after a long period and to be able to offer them the products or services they require. Persistent cookies are permanently stored on your terminal device and are not deleted when the website is exited or the browser is closed. Persistent cookies can only be removed manually.

What are cookies used for?

• Strictly necessary cookies

Strictly necessary cookies are used to make a website usable by enabling basic functions such as site navigation and access to secure areas of the website (shopping cart cookies, cookies for logins, cookies for storage of country/language selection, cookies for using cookie consent tools). The website cannot work properly without these cookies. These cookies cannot be disabled.

You can configure your browser to block these cookies or inform you of these cookies. If you do, some parts of the website may not work.

• Functional cookies

Functional cookies allow additional features and personalization to be offered such as videos and live chat.

If you do not permit these cookies, some or all of these features may not work properly.

• Analytical cookies

Analytical cookies are used by us or third parties for tracking and analyzing user behavior, delivering user-based content or for marketing purposes. This means we can show website contents that are appropriate to the target group and improve website content and functionality.

If you do not permit these cookies you may not experience user-based contents or targeted offers on other websites, for example.

• Statistical cookies

Statistical cookies help us to understand how visitors interact with our website. We only collect anonymized information (e.g., using truncated IP addresses).

You can view and edit how cookies are set or accessed at any time under "Cookie Settings". However, disabling cookies may limit the websites’ functionality (e.g., login to certain areas).

A persistent cookie is installed by us to allow an opt-out (disabling) of cookies to be recognized and considered during future visits to our websites.

Opt-out cookies prevent the future recording of your data when visiting this website from a particular terminal device or browser and a specific domain. However, to prevent recording on different devices, the opt-out must be performed on each device/browser used.

Service providers employed by us may also use cookies, especially for web analysis, conversion tracking, and re-marketing.

Google Analytics

Our websites use Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Google Analytics uses cookies, which are stored on your computer, which permit analysis of your usage of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website may be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. When IP anonymization is activated on our website, your IP address will be shortened by Google before transmission if you are in a member state of the European Union or in another signatory state to the agreement covering the European Economic Area. In exceptional cases only, the full IP address will be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.

Google will use this information on our behalf to analyze your usage of the website, to compile reports about the websites' activity, and to provide the websites' owner with other services relating to website activity and internet usage.

Google does not link other data to the IP address transmitted from your browser by Google Analytics.

For more information about Google's privacy policy, see https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/

You can configure or prevent the storage of cookies at "Cookie Settings". However, please note that in that case you may not be able to use all the functions of our websites to their full extent.

The legal basis for the processing of the data is your consent in accordance with Article 6 para. 1(a) GDPR.

We have no control over when the data collected by Google that can be related to persons and are linked to cookies, user IDs, or advertising IDs are deleted.

Twitter

We have integrated features of the Twitter service into our website. These features are provided by Twitter Inc., 1355 Market Street, Suite 900, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA. While you use Twitter and the "Re-Tweet" feature, the websites you visit are linked to your Twitter account and disclosed to other users. During this process, data are also transferred to Twitter. Please note that as providers of the site we have no knowledge of the contents of the data transmitted or how the information is used by Twitter. Please see Twitter’s privacy statement for further information at: https://twitter.com/privacy.

You can modify your data privacy settings for Twitter under the account settings at https://twitter.com/account/settings.

The legal basis for the processing of the data is your consent in accordance with Article 6 para. 1(a) GDPR.

We have no control over when the data collected by Twitter that can be related to persons are deleted.

LinkedIn

Our websites use features of the LinkedIn network, provided by LinkedIn Corporation, 2029 Stierlin Court, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Any time you access one of our sites that contains LinkedIn features, a connection to LinkedIn’s servers is established. LinkedIn is notified that you have visited our websites with your IP address. If you click on LinkedIn’s "Recommend" button and are logged into your LinkedIn account at the time, LinkedIn will be in a position to allocate your visit to our website to your user account. Please note that as providers of the site we have no knowledge of the contents of the data transmitted or how the information is used by LinkedIn.

Please see LinkedIn’s privacy statement for further information at: https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy.

The legal basis for the processing of the data is your consent in accordance with Article 6 para. 1(a) GDPR. We have no control over when the data collected by LinkedIn that can be related to persons are deleted.

YouTube

Our websites use plug-ins from the YouTube website. The operator of the sites is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

YouTube may receive information about visitors to our websites before they watch the video. This is because YouTube establishes a connection with the Google Double Click network regardless of whether you watch a video.

YouTube establishes a connection with the servers as soon as you start a YouTube video on our website. This informs the YouTube server which of our sites you have visited. If you are logged in to your YouTube account, you allow YouTube to assign your surfing behavior directly to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.

YouTube may also store various cookies on your terminal device after a video starts. YouTube can use these cookies to obtain information about visitors to our website. This information is used, among other things, to collect video statistics, improve usability and prevent fraud. The cookies remain on your terminal device until you delete them.

Other data processing operations may sometimes be triggered after the start of a YouTube video over which we have no influence.

You can find out more about data privacy at YouTube by visiting its privacy statement at: http://www.youtube.com/t/privacy_at_youtube.

The legal basis for the processing of the data is your consent in accordance with Article 6 para. 1(a) GDPR.

We have no control over when the data collected via YouTube that can be related to persons are deleted.

Double Click

We use the offers of Double Click/Google (Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, California 94043, USA) to draw attention to our offers with the help of advertising materials on external web pages. This includes the use of marketing tools to determine the successfulness of specific advertising measures (conversion tracking). Our objective is to display advertisements that are of interest to you, as well as to make our websites more appealing, and to achieve a fair calculation of advertising costs.

To support this objective, Double Click/Google cookies and web beacons are installed that measure certain parameters that assess the performance, such as display of advertisements or user clicks. These cookies are not meant to identify you personally. As long as the cookie is valid, the advertising partner can see that you have clicked on an ad and that you were directed to a particular target page (e.g., input forms, confirmation page, newsletter registration). The advertising partner uses the cookie to create conversion statistics. These statistics record the number of users who have clicked on one of our ads. It also counts how many users were directed to a target page that had been equipped with a conversion tag (re-marketing tag). However, the statistics do not contain any data that would allow you to be identified.

We ourselves do not collect and process any personal data in the listed advertising measures. Our advertising partners only provide us with statistical analyses. Based on these analyses, we can see which of the applied advertising measures are particularly effective. We do not receive any further data from the use of the advertising materials and, in particular, we cannot identify the users based on this information.

Due to the conversion tracking tools used, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection to the server of the advertising partners. We have no influence on the scope and further use of the data that is collected by the advertising partners' use of this tool. The integration of the marketing tools provides the advertising partner with information that you have called up the respective part of our internet presence or have clicked on one of our ads. If you are registered with our advertising partner (Google, for example), the advertising partner can associate the visit with your account. Even if you are not registered or have not logged in, it is possible that the provider may discover and store your IP address.

For more information about Google's privacy policy, see: http://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy.

The legal basis for the processing of the data is your consent in accordance with Article 6 para. 1(a) GDPR.

We have no control over when the data collected via DoubleClick that can be related to persons are deleted.

Twitter Ads

We use the "Twitter Ads" service to enable ads in Twitter. This also records the number of clicks per campaign. This involves numerical counting only and is wholly anonymous.

Place of data processing

Your data will in general be processed in Germany. If, by way of exception, your data are processed outside of the European Union (so-called third countries), this will happen provided you have given your express consent for this or this is necessary for us to provide services to you or this is provided for by law (Article 49 GDPR). Moreover, your data are processed in third countries only to the extent that it is ensured through certain measures that an appropriate level of data protection exists for this (Article 44 et seq. GDPR).

Encryption of the data transmission

To ensure the confidentiality of your data also during transmission, we use state-of-the-art encryption methods, such as HTTPS/TLS.

The website is not intended for children under 13 years of age. No one under age 13 may provide any information to or on the websites. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, do not use or provide any information on our websites or through any of its features/registers, any of the interactive or public comment features of our websites, or provide any information about yourself to us, including your name, address, telephone number, or email address. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information. If you believe we might have any information from or about a child under age 13, please contact us.

In the ordinary course of business, we will share some personal information with companies that we hire to perform services or functions on our behalf. In all cases in which we share consumers’ personal information with a third party, we will only allow them to keep, disclose, or use consumers’ information to provide the services we asked them to provide.

We may share personal information with any member of our corporate group, including parent companies, subsidiaries, and affiliates, for purposes that are consistent with those identified in this Privacy Statement.
