PhD Student honored at CinC 2023

Our PhD student Alexander Hammer has received an award for his contribution at the CinC 2023, an international scientific conference for computing in clinical cardiology and cardiovascular physiology, which has been held annually since 1974. He was honored as a semi-finalist of the Rosanna Degani Young Investigators´ Award competition. The competition is designed to encourage young investigators to present their work at CinC and to have it discussed with experts.

Alexander, who is currently doing his doctorate at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering at TU Dresden, entered the competition with the scientific paper “Cardiovascular Reflections of Sympathovagal Imbalance Precede the Onset of Atrial Fibrillation”, which he co-authored with Hagen Malberg and Martin Schmidt.
